Samsung Monochrome Laser Printer Price List

The convenient design of Samsung printing machines offers ample space to load up paper in the tray. The toner cartridge compartment is easy to work for seamless and mess-free replacements. A pad of dedicated buttons in Samsung laser printers allow users to key in commands and adjustments faster. Like 3D printers, they are built to streamline production and accommodate new, less tech-savvy users.

Laser printing is precise and fast, due to its advanced method that uses heat and static electricity to transfer toner onto sheets. Rendering Engine for Clean Pages (ReCP) technology ensures crisp color display on pages by sharpening edges and enhancing thin lines. High-quality toner for Samsung wireless laser printers resists fading over time, which is practical for archival prints. Some color laser printers from Samsung include 2400x600 resolution to make prints legible and visually appealing. Built-in memory in laser printers speeds up processing, which saves users' time during extended printing sessions. Small businesses can also consider dot matrix printers, which are cost-effective but still deliver clear prints. The onboard processors in these devices run at a clock speed of 300MHz for efficient use.

Use the USB port to upload digital files to the Samsung printer easily. Printers are easy to detect via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet LAN connection. Operate a laser printer from a distance by adjusting all settings via a smartphone, tablet or laptop. The one-touch wireless setup removes hassles when establishing an online connection to speed up the printing process. Wireless connectivity is also a good option to have in offices or workplaces with other large equipment and limited physical space.

Our 5-page text and graphics print returned 8.6ppm on both of our test runs, largely because of the long processing time. Finally, a 15 x 10cm photo print on A4 paper took 31 seconds, again with quite a bit of the time spent processing the image. These speeds are still very worthwhile and beat similarly priced inkjet printers by a margin of up to 2:1. Mono laser print is still the high performance option for black print in the home.

This laser printer toner cartridge prints 20000 pages, which is more than the standard offering by Samsung. Pages estimated averaged at 5% page coverage (5% of the page is covered by ink). NOTE: Nearly all printer manufacturers (including Samsung) base their ink/toner cartridge yields on 5% page coverage.

As Chromebooks have become more common and widely used, most printers are fully compatible with Chrome OS, giving you many options to choose from. So, which are the best? To help you, we've put together a list of the best printers, from premium, feature-rich all-in-ones designed for office use to cheap home models for the occasional print jobs. These printers work with Chromebooks out of the box without needing to install any drivers or third-party apps.

The best printer for Chromebook we've tested is the Canon imageCLASS MF743Cdw, a color laser all-in-one designed for small or home office use. It has a large display with a user-friendly user interface, a scanner with an automatic feeder and single-pass duplex scanning, and plenty of connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet. It produces very high-quality documents and is fast, printing up to 29 pages per minute. The toner cartridges last a long time, so it doesn't need much maintenance, and what little it does need is cheap. It works with Chromebooks out of the box without installing additional drivers or apps. The only thing it doesn't do well is photo printing, which is typical for most laser printers.

If you only print black and white documents, consider the Brother MFC-L2750DW, a monochrome laser all-in-one. Its high-resolution scanner produces fantastic scans, and it's equipped with an automatic feeder with single-pass duplex scanning to quickly process multi-page and double-sided documents. It produces exceptionally sharp documents, doesn't take long to warm up, and prints very quickly at up to 36 pages per minute. Its toner cartridge lasts a long time, and replacement toner is cheap, so your cost per print will remain low over time. You have to replace the drum separately, which is an additional expense, but it usually lasts for around 12,000 prints, so you likely won't need to do it often.

If you would like to do the work of choosing yourself, here's the list of all our printer reviews. Be careful not to get too caught up in the details. While no printer is perfect for every use, most are good enough to please almost everyone, and the differences are often not noticeable unless you really look for them.

The best feature, however, is the price. The SL-M2020W can be found online for as little as $65 in the US or AU$79 in Australia. (In the UK, the A4-friendly SL-M2022W version is available online for around 59.) That's 35 percent less than some of the best competing monolasers from HP and Brother.

The 150-sheet input tray provides the paper and can handle a variety of media types including all the standard sizes, card stock, recycled, labels, envelopes, and more. Its 150-sheet capacity is average for this price, though may find yourself refilling the stock fairly often if you have more than three people printing to the device at any given time. Additionally, I'm not surprised at the lack of a bypass tray at this price as well, so just stick with the paper types listed and you'll be fine.

Of course, you'll need to also keep in mind that the money pit for any printer is usually the consumables, and in this case it's obviously the laser toner. The printer uses Samsung model MLT-D111s black toner and each cartridge can print approximately 1,000 pages, but here's the red flag: the cartridge will cost you almost as much the printer itself ($50 USD, AU$69, or a somewhat less out-of-scale 35).

Don't forget that this is a monochrome printer, so we're talking black ink documents only -- that is email messages, driving directions, boarding passes, movie tickets, and so on. If the plan is print out full-color photos, then forgo the laser section altogether and check out the inkjets -- colors are separated into individual cartridges and are therefore equipped to display more detail in your prints. Around here, we like the Canon Pixma MG6220 and its Pixma MG linemates.

If you don't need color output or extra scanning and copying features of larger and pricier all-in-ones, the Samsung SL-M2020W delivers a capable laser printer in a compact package with an impressive roster of advanced features for an unbeatably low price.

Although laser printers date back to the early 1970s,[4] the first one, Xerox's model 1200, was not a desktop unit.[5][6] The technology base was Xerox's photocopiers.[7] Hewlett-Packard was first witha desktop unit.

Most HP LaserJet printers employ xerographic laser-marking engines sourced from the Japanese company Canon. Due to a very tight turnaround schedule on the first HP LaserJet, HP elected to use the controller already developed by Canon for the CX engine in the first HP LaserJet.[10] In spring of 1989 The New York Times said that HP "dominates" the PC laser printer market.[11]

HP introduced the first laser printer for IBM PC compatible personal computers in May 1984 at the Computer Dealers' Exhibition (COMDEX). It was a 300-dpi, 8 ppm printer that sold for $3,495 with the price reduced to $2,995 in September 1985.[10] It used an 8 MHz Motorola 68000 processor and could print in a variety of character fonts.[1] It was controlled using PCL3. Due to the high cost of memory, the first LaserJet only had 128 kilobytes of memory, and a portion of that was reserved for use by the controller.

The HP LaserJet IID was released in the fall of 1988, It was the first desktop laser printer capable of duplexing.[10] It was also the first HP LaserJet with an HP-designed and manufactured formatter.[10]

In October 1992, HP introduced the LaserJet 4 featuring a Canon EX engine with native 600-dpi output and Microfine toner for US$2,199. This model also introduced TrueType fonts to LaserJets which ensured that the printer fonts exactly matched the fonts displayed on the computer screen. (TrueType fonts could print on an original LaserJet Plus or later, but they would be printed as graphics, making the printing slow and restricted to a limited page area or reduced resolution.)[10] Some competitors also utilized the Canon EX engine, including Apple (LaserWriter Pro 600 and 630), Digital Equipment Corporation (DEClaser 5100), and Canon.[15][16]

In the network laser-printer market, the 5Si series was succeeded by the 8000, and later by the 8100 and 8150. The 8000 brought 1200x1200-dpi resolution, which was continued in the 8100 and 8150. The 8100 and 8150 brought faster printing (32 pages per minute), but this speed was only realized for single-sided (simplex) printing; double-sided printing remained at 24 pages per minute. These models, which used the Canon WX engine, provided excellent durability and good maintainability. 041b061a72
